203(k) Loan

Most FHA 203(k) projects struggle without an experienced consultant that can guide you through the process. I take pride in providing a service that excels the success rate of the project. From the point of contact, I can provide you with all of your inspection, estimating and consulting needs. As a licensed home inspector, I can provide you with a high quality inspection to help identify the magnitude of your project.

If you have not received a contractor estimate and require budget estimating services and a written scope of work for assistance in bidding the project and selection of a contractor, I can perform an initial consultation phase, which is designed to identify all mandatory, recommended and desired work items that will be related to your project. This is also referred to as a budget study. This is a powerful document that is created to increase the success rate of the project and help keep all of your potential bidders on the same page. I can even provide a list of contractors that can be contacted to provide bids for your project.

What Our Most Recent Clients Are Saying:

Jason was very helpful from the beginning to the end. I had a lot of questions about how and what is necessary for the inspection and once it was completed I had questions as well. He took the time to explain everything to me.
I Have him for two house inspections recently while looking to buy a house. he arrived on time and always did a full inspection of the house and answered any questions I had. The reports are also done either the day of the inspection or the day after and are very detailed as well. Would recommend!
Jason was very accommodating and thorough in his inspection of our potential home. Very personable and easy to communicate with, which is important when discussing an investment of this magnitude. Would highly recommend his services to any one in need of a home inspection .
We hired Jason to do the home inspection on the house we were purchasing and we couldn't have been happier with his feedback and expertise. He is passionate about his line of work and being compliant. If you need someone to be your advocate on a home inspection, mold assessment, etc. I would recommend Jason 100%.
We hired Jason for an inspection in May of 2018 after deciding to move to the Albany area. This is the second time we purchased a home so we were familiar with the experience of working with an inspector. We were completely impressed with the level of detail Jason offered after reviewing the property we were interested in. Compared to our first home purchase, it was clear that Jason took great care in helping us understand the complete implications of moving into the house we were interested in.Our first inspector sent us a report and kind've disappeared without answering many questions to help us understand the report. Jason spent at least another hour with me on the phone explaining the things that were minor, the things that could possibly be problematic, and the things that we should absolutely take care of right away. He kept citing his experience from past roles and past cases to help me tie the report to real examples. We shopped the price around and while Jason was slightly more expensive than some other quotes, we gave him a shot because he came highly recommended by a colleague of ours. It was totally worth it to know exactly what we're getting with our new home purchase.

How does a FHA 203k loan work?

The FHA 203k loan program is designed to help finance the purchase and renovation of a home. The loan is insured by the Federal Housing Administration (FHA), which protects the lender from risk if the borrower defaults on the loan.

What is the maximum amount I can borrow with a FHA 203k Loan?

The maximum amount you can borrow with a FHA 203k Loan is determined by the value of the property after the renovations have been completed. Credit scores may also play a role in whether you qualify for the program. This analysis is completed in a process called a conversion appraisal prior to closing and funding of the loan. This will determine if the project is feasible.

The benefits of a FHA 203k loan include:
